I asked them for a quote for changing my blower motor and they told me I would have to bring my car in for a quote. Then they charged me $200 for looking at my car, and told me it would be $700 for a part that’s $80 and I figured out how to change in 10 mind
Raelene Seidel of Langham, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on our business. You stopped in to our business mid morning, and stated you're air conditioning was not working. You stated that sometimes your dad would wiggle some wires under your dash and it would start working again. I then asked if you could leave the vehicle with us, and asked you if we could shuttle you home. You said you were from Langham, so that would be a very long shuttle ride. I moved things around on our schedule to accommodate you and said I would diagnose your problem while you waited. I even mentioned this will likely take up to an hour possibly. Why did you not stop the whole process there? Who works for free? I assume that you don't, and we do not either. You never mentioned anything to me about knowing it was your blower motor. You sat in our lobby for about an hour while we performed our multi point inspection and our diagnostics on your issue. We did NOT tell you that the part is $700, we estimated the part on your invoice at $140.05 (You have a copy, please read it again so you understand). This is a 3 Year Warranty Blower Motor (for both parts & labour, labour is over and above the $140.05), not a cheap one that you can purchase at some of the parts stores. You also had melted wiring and a melted pigtail that also needs to be repaired before installing the new blower motor (this is also estimated on your invoice, again please read this so you understand). Raelene you also have tires that are dangerously worn out (again as stated on your invoice, please read it). Your tires measure 0/32nds, I walked out to the parking lot to show you your tires, and how dangerous they are (a new tire measures 12/32nds, and a completely worn out tire measures 3/32nds. With your tires in the condition they are in, you are a danger to yourself and anyone else who might be near you on the road if/when one of them blows out and you lose control of your vehicle. Your check engine light is also on-FYI. If you are looking for super cheap and inexpensive car repairs, please do not call us again. We will only repair your vehicle with quality parts that can be confidently backed with a 3 Year / 20 000km Warranty. We also recieved a message on our voice mail from your mother with a lot of serious threats. I texted your mother and tried to call her 3 times the next day, but she would not answer, or even return my calls. If you still want to call or stop in to discuss, please do!
